Oh ! Calcutta

Seven days of holidays are over and life is back to normal, the happiest person is Geetha cos both me and Shreyas would be out of the house by 7.30 in the morning. Once I reached the institute building, the first thing I noticed was the big message on the students notice board " 33 DAYS TO FINAL EXAMS", wonder which sadist put that up ?
During these holidays visited Calcutta (about 120 kms from Kharagpur) , the highway is good. We made it in approx 2 hrs. The agenda was to visit an amusement park and the Kalighat temple. The state of the temple was pathetic, devotion was the farthest thing from my mind as all my attention was engaged in preventing my son from being crushed and safeguarding my watch and purse, atleat three deliberate attempts were made at stealing them. There was almost a stampede and for the first time I clearly understood how people can die in a stampede. Well, though I was lacking in the devotion department Geetha more than made up for it. She was thrilled to bits about the extended darshan she had despite the maddening crowd., I did'nt have the heart to tell her that the extended darshan was due to the steady stream of Rs 50 notes from me to the guy who was "hurrying up" the crowd. Well, the secret is safe cos she does'nt read my blog.
So long till my next post.

hi v vivek,
most of the guys are usually known either by their surname or the first name. But in your case as much as I remember we called you v vivek.correct me if i am wrong.
well first thing first, let me congratulate you on your literary skills which I always longed to acquire but then if wishes were horses....

I went through your writings or blog and found it to be an interesting reading.
So I thought that I might as well compliment you.If I could compliment beautiful women for their looks then why should I not compliment a beautiful mind and beautiful write up.
Our earlier interactions had hardly any substantial time for realizing, relishing and acknowledging your capabilities in this field.
well, better late than never.
I am at Chennai.Tell me when are you visiting it next.
bye and take care.
